Blueline IPP Company Limited
Blueline Independent Power Plant (BLIPP) is a critical power infrastructure asset providing reliable electricity to support the uninterrupted operation of the Lagos Bluerail system – the first electric-powered rail system in West Africa. The plant configuration for its Phase 1 implementation comprises an 8MVA Diesel Rotary Uninterruptible Power Supply (DRUPS) system, supported by a 27-kilometre independent ring-type medium voltage distribution network, and six strategically located substations that ensure stable and continuous power delivery across the rail corridor (contact rail and the terminal stations).
